Who I am
I am Liam Jenkins, a sole trader based in Guildford, Surrey. I run this website and I am the person responsible for your personal information (the “data controller”).
For privacy questions, please use the site contact form.
What I collect
When you use a contact form or request a free website review, I collect the details you provide. These can include your name, business name, website URL, email address, phone number, what you want help with, and any message you write. I only ask for information needed to reply to your request.
Why I use it
I use your details to reply to your enquiry or free website review request and, if you go ahead, to provide the service you asked for. The legal basis is that it is needed to answer you and take steps towards a contract at your request, and my legitimate interest in running my business.
Where it goes
The details you submit through a form are sent to my email inbox. Copies are also stored in the form responses area of this site, which is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic). I do not sell your data and I do not share it with anyone else for marketing.
Cookies and visitor statistics
This site is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic). Its built-in Jetpack Stats counts page views and visits, outbound link clicks, referring pages and approximate visitor location. Automattic processes information such as your IP address, browser details, page URL and visit time to provide these statistics; I see aggregate reports, not your individual IP address. Automattic says its Stats logs are kept for 28 days. The platform also uses cookies for its features and services. Read Automattic’s cookie policy for details and browser controls. I have not added analytics, advertising or tracking tools of my own.
How long I keep it
For enquiries that do not become work, I keep your enquiry details for 12 months after our last contact, then delete them. If you become a client, I will explain how long I need to keep your client records when we agree the work.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. You can also object to how I use it. Use the site contact form and I will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
